PassivHaus EnerPHit Approved in Bishop's Stortford

We have obtained planning application for a PassivHaus EnerPHit extension and renovations to a detached family home. The house is a cold, dark brick building with a cramped internal layout and tired finishes. Our clients wanted more space without destroying the charm of the house, along with low energy demand. When complete, the house will generate more energy than it uses.

Our approved design is for a timber framed extension to the rear of the house, which matches the form of the existing roof. Timber cladding, generous windows, and metal guttering and details give a contemporary touch. The extension creates an open-plan kitchen and family room at ground floor, an additional large bedroom above, overlooking the garden, and allowed us to reconfigure and enlarge the other bedrooms.
