We are incredibly pleased to have reached practical completion on our project to extend and reconfigure the ground floor of our client's Edwardian house in Highgate. The project involved removal of the existing poor-quality extension, lowering and levelling previously stepped floors, and creating an additional 10m² of floor area. We also added a utility room and ground floor WC, as well as a pantry, bar, and an oriel reading window seat.
Our concept was to embrace the newness of the extension, showing parts of the original house's structure and decoration but otherwise using contemporary materials such as a polished heated floor, copper detailing, and steel doors. The bespoke cabinetry was all designed by us, working closely with our clients' need to create an open bright space for cooking, which would be equally warm during parties. We are really looking forward to publishing more photos.
