After a positive pre-application response from Harrow Council to our initial sketches, we've prepared and submitted a planning application for a side and rear extension to this mock Georgian house. While it is not in a conservation area itself, the site is is surrounded by three conservation areas and lots of mature trees.
We prepared a heritage assessment to show our proposals would not have a negative impact on its surroundings. We also commissioned a tree report by SJ Stephens Associates to show the extensions would not affect any of the mature trees (protected by Tree Preservation Orders) surrounding the site.
A planning decision is expected shortly. We are really looking forward to preparing the detailed design and tender information for this, especially the double-sided fire place!
