FAMILY HOME
NEWLANDS, SA
Scope of Build: A light-touch renovation and restoration of a historic Cape Town home, with the added pressure of the imminent arrival of our clients' baby.
Outcome: Replacing the rotting windows with insulated glazing and installing an efficient wood-burning stove will keep the house cozy in winter. A new rustic kitchen, bathrooms, and custom joinery were all carefully designed to respect the house's heritage. The original parquet floor was also painstakingly restored, all in time to receive the patter of tiny feet.
