Scope of Build: Ground floor side return extension with frameless roof glazing to create a full-width family kitchen, underfloor heating, new external glazing, and new floors and decoration to the rest of to this five-bed Victorian terrace in Holloway. We also added a new ground floor WC (which is usually lacking in the original layout of Victorian and Edwardian homes), and added and reconfigured en suites and bathrooms. We also added thermal insulation to the solid brick external walls, and some acoustic insulation in problem areas (such as bedroom walls shared with neighbours).

Outcome: Warm, quiet, and bright living spaces for a family of four. The bright kitchen compensates for overcast days, Petal's cat flap is hidden inside a kitchen cabinet. The Mandarin stone floor of the kitchen is matched on the outside, extending the house further in warmer months.
